電車は直ぐにきた。路面電車に使われるような連接車であり、車掌が同乗していた… 駅の入り口に電車の乗り方という掲示があって、整理券をとって車内で両替して下車時に支払え、とあったが、両替というのは自動両替機ではなく車掌が行うのだった。（日記より）
