よい天気だった。今日なら桜島も開聞岳も観光写真のようによく撮れたことだろう。が、全ては終了したのだ。市電の乗り納めでもしようかと思ったけれどなかなかこなかったのでそのまま中央駅まで歩いてしまった。（日記より）
